Description For Workshop:
September 24-October 2, 2017
"Authorized Permittee of the National Park Service."
On September 24th, those arriving by airline will be picked up at Jackson WY airport and then driven to our lodging in Yellowstone Park where we will meet the other artists that have driven their own cars to our lodging. After getting settled, we will spend the next three days exploring the park. On each day we will visit areas of the park to paint and photograph landscapes and animals. Instructors Julia Peters and Joe Mac Kechnie will provide daily tips and demos on painting, photography and sketchbooking. In the afternoon of September 27th we will caravan to Jackson WY. On the way to Jackson we will see many wonderful sights, especially the Tetons Park. That evening we will settle into our new lodging located in Jackson WY. The next four days will be filled with daily excursions to lakes, mountains, old homesteads, chasing buffalo, elk, moose and other creatures. We may even see snow on the Tetons! Couple this with the autumn colors of golden aspens, we will all be experiencing sensory overload. Once again Instructors Julia Peters and Joe Mac Kechnie will take you to different painting and photography sites and assist you with capturing the beauty of each scene. We will also have time to explore Jackson's art galleries, restaurants, historical bars, shops and a visit to the National Museum of Wildlife art. On October 2nd, checkout day, those leaving by air will be driven to the Jackson airport and those driving back home will be on their own ways. All with a deeper appreciation for our spectacular national parks and their eternal beauty.
